PEOPLE over 50 are being invited to a number of wellbeing course to help them learn new digital skills.

Bath and North East Somerset Council (B&NES) will host the sessions for people who want to get more out of their smartphones and tablets.

The courses are free and will be held in Midsomer Norton, Paulton, Weston and Foxhill in Bath for people who either live in or are registered with a GP in the B&NES area.

Smartphones for Beginners for Over 50s (Weston) - for complete beginners with any make of smartphone - on Thursday, April 25 for six weeks from 10am – 12pm at Weston Hub, Penn Lea Road, Bath. Similar sessions will also be held at Unit 14, South Road, Midsomer Norton from Monday, April 29 for six weeks (not running bank holidays) from 10am – 12pm, at The Green Room, St Andrew's Community Church, Hawthorn Grove, Foxhill, Bath, on Tuesday, April 30, for six weeks from 10am until 12pm.

Online shopping for beginners over 50 (for iPad and Android tablets) will also be held for four weeks from June 11 between 10am until 12pm at The Turner Room, Paulton Hospital.
